Facundo Daniel Leguizamón
As a kid, Facundo spent countless hours drawing. It was his favorite childhood game. He copied images of football players and his favorite comic & cartoon characters. Facundo would also create his own characters and play with them. At that early age, Facundo fell in love with the worn-out paints he would see in old public buses and shop windows. At that time he didn’t know it, but he was hooked on Filete Porteño. In 2004 Facundo attended his first Filete workshop but it would be 10 years later, in 2014, when he decided to focus exclusively on the technique after studying with great masters like Gabriel Sanchez, Ricardo Gomez - an old school expert in buses, trucks, and carriages - and Jose Espinosa.
Since then, Facundo has exhibited in “La Noche de Los Museos” a city-wide event where museums and public transportation remain open all night, the first Filete Porteño exhibition in Beijing and Shanghai, China organized by the Cervantes Institute, has given classes and talks in the Universidad Nacional del Litoral, Casa de la Cultura in Trenque Lauquen, and the Fernando Fader School, among other venues. Fernando has designed the image and packaging of multiple products and stores such as Cinzano, ‘El Cocinero Vegano’ from Spain, and ‘Y Tu Mamá Mexican food’ and ‘American Wine Project’ both in the US.
